I think these Elite missions brought out the worst in people. We do 'ok' to start. Towards the end, it starts getting hairy. This kid tries to pull, but half the group follows him. Then they proceed to yell at him. He had even told us to stay and that he was going to pull. Of course, it just got worse, as the verbal abuse got to rediculous levels. Finally, the kid whispers me and says he can't take the abuse anymore and that if I need his help to whisper him and he leaves.

Through all the abuse, he never yelled back. Sometimes people are such jerks and could care less about the person driving the character.
Indeed very humbling, I wonder how many "Jerks" on this thread are really just people having a bad day, month or even year. Those whose spouse left them, are permantly crippled, have an abusive father/mother or simply seen a worse side of humanity they can't deal with.

However, in all fairness we all have our own problems and we don't need you to be one of them. Do not take out your anger or pain on those of us who had nothing to do with your life or know anything about it.

He got for us and made us all say sorry for the asumptions we made that we made that he was going to steal our golds. After everyone said sorry he continued with the cheast run and never gave our golds back.

Hrmmz. Okay level 15 Ritualist trying to do Nahpui Mission. I'm useless, well not entirely, but think a bout it. So my friend (He's a SS Necro lvl 20) and I advertise for a group, we get one with a rit in there already, this is fine, I just wanted to get through the mission.

So was asked if I could equip Restoration Skills instead of Communing, I said I could, and was asked to. This was fine, until we hit the last boss.

Idiot: You're no communing rit, i watching you
Me: Never said I was, you jsut told me to change skills. (yes I am getting slightly tongue in cheek with the guy, but it was late for me and I was in a weird mood.)

Idiot: You no communing rit. noob
Me: Oh, you asked for skills.
Idiot: You noob can't play game.
Me: You never asked if I could play a restoration rit. (Oh and I can't by the way lol)

So 7 minutes of him yelling at me, and he dies to the point he blames me.

Which my response was "If you played the game instead of watching every player in your team you'd not be dead and would have got masters."

Finished mission in 28 minutes.

I was in a group of PUGs doing that mission from hell in Cantha with the turtles. I was an E/Mo because of all the seven characters i've got through either factions or prophecies I haven't been an Ele before. Apparently being an Ele makes you a noob, though, because after we finished the mission four members of the group gathered around me and /ranked their deer heads at me. I have no idea why, either, I hadn't said a thing during the mission and we got masters. So, obviously these people were just morons who think PVP makes you a more experienced player than a PVE player on their eigth character. It annoyed me, so I pretended to be AFK til they got over it. They must have been particularly stupid though because they kept it up for a good ten minutes.

LOL - yeah, it's like when someone farms and farms a boss to get his green off him, and then when I am in Shing Jea trying to sell my Blue collectors staff for 200g, people will come over to me and show me their Green staff. I'll be like "So what?" and sometimes they'll run away, sometimes they will say "My staff is better than that one", to which I respond "good good, run along and play now then". Even if they do intend selling it - they're COMPLETELY different markets!

I think I qualified for that last night. >_<;
Playing my Necromancer as a Minion Master in a PUG for Thirsty River. We were at the oasis slaying the last two Sand Giants, one at a time. We were taking them one at a time.
I was being very careful to stay in the back line, and even helped keep the monk alive in a few places, because I didn't really want to unleash an undead army on my own team.

...we're about to slay one Sand Giant, and in a bid for speeding things up, one of the Rangers starts shelling at the last one. I wasn't paying attention to this, however (I've a habit of forgetting the radar), and stood still for too long as a mess of Rockshot Devourers and a Sand Giant pounded me flat. Thus adding ten freshly healed bone minions into the fray. x_x

They made short work of the minions, and forgave me as though nothing had happened, and the mission proceeded without incident. But argh. >.<

So I enter Raisu Palace with my Ele/Me and joined a group. We was going for masters and I simply said I have completed this mission several times with masters with other characters and know pretty well how to do it. Eventually this monk joins, and almost immediately she claims control and authority and starts yelling to choose Talon and "Argo" as our allies. Of course, I protested and said that would not be wise, because with Argo you only skip a small group, however if you choose Danika, we can skip much larger groups and cut a little time off. She persisted in saying Argo and Talon, and saying they will "disappear quickly" and she won't have to heal them.

Me) Danika is a healer, I think she is able to heal herself and help you heal the party too.
Monk) WRONG! She dies all the time, the dumb wench. You don't know shit.
Me) Fine fine...

We start the mission and I suggest one more time to choose Danika and Talon, but I was flooded out by her spamming Talon and Argo. So we go and "surprisingly" the monk cannot heal very well and I would rather had a healer henchie then her. In between casting spells, I pointed out how we could have skipped this and that. Monk continues to say I don't know what I'm saying and I'm dumb...

In closing, we don't get masters ( we missed it by 27 seconds )... I smile a little and ask "where is that masters? man, if we only had listened to me, eh?"

I leave the group and continue to kill Shiro. The Monk PM'ed me, "it's your fault for doing a terrible job nuking, you shithead, I missed out on masters!"

I reply only to find myself ignored.

Figures...

I've been moaned at by a monk on Hell's mission where the big area with the three portals are. I was fighting a titan up front while one was attacking the spell casters behind. When you dont have eyes in the back of your head it makes the game a bit harder. Besides that if I went back to support I would loose agro of the titan I was fighting meaning there would be two of them chasing them. After we were easily slaying them anyway with typical winter spirit setup the monk began laying into me. I told her to f off at which she did leaving one monk in the party. Despite that we finished Hell's still very easily.

Being a monk gets to some peoples heads. Just because your a key member of the team doesn't mean everyone should do as you say or you'll leave the group.

Well, this is the 1st jerk I ever met.
While doing RA, in luxon's arena where you have a priest on each side, 2 of my teammates left (damn I hate leavers) and the opponents are a warrior, a monk and a rt (jerk) (they have 1 leaver). Both me and my teammate are able to dp out the monk and the warrior and we had an 'interesting' with the jerk at his base. Of course, this jerk couldn't admit his lost and start bugging me that he won my time (sigh...):

After they invite person #7, another Necromancer requests to join, and and they were already partnered with another monk. I had been part of this group for 15 minutes by this point.

Now, I am sure everyone here can see this coming: they dump me with no explanation, and take that necro and monk pair.

I found this horribly rude, and it causes me to SERIOUSLY doubt that group leader's ethics. They were thinking only of themselves. An apology would have been nice.

To show them (although they never knew), I proceeded to beat the mission with henchies. Didn't take long either!

I had never been dumped from a group before. I felt so shocked. Guess that was pretty naive of me, but I have had so many good experiences with random groups. I found my current guild by joining a random group. They're great.
The exact same story happened to me. I was playing a MM in arborstone. I join a group - we were 6/8 looking for 2 monks. No one around. Then a group of 2 players leaded by a monk ask to join. The 2nd player was a necro. Our leader accept, and the the monk starts whinning like a kid: "WE NEED 2 MONKS". What? I did agree but he also did ask to join, knowing who was in the team. "Kick <me> ", he said. The leader did with no hesitation. Lame.

Biggest jerk story huh?

Running the Canthan mission 'Capture the Stars.' Started the group for Masters bonus, and it took extra long to get good group balance cause of the special farming groups forming this weekend.

So we get in there w 2 Monks, three tankers, and some Nukers. Im feeling great. I said, 'Guys we're all great players, only thing I'll say, we're killing all bosses LAST. This way they don't respawn more mobs to fight through. We take care of them last and move faster.'

We head in.

This one a-hole attacks the first boss, continues to attack despite everyone screaming at him to stop.

Next boss same.

Ridiculous. Jerk.

Yesturday I was helping a guildie with the Ring of Fire mission. He joined a PUG just as I arrived to help out. There were no other monks around so we got another guildie to bring his Rit. As soon as we started we saw that one of the warriors was afk. He didn't come with us to avoid that big group of mursatt that camp in front of the boat. No one seemed to want to restart to get rid of him so we continued. The mission was rather annoying, we had someone that hadn't bothered to get infused, so they became a bit of a one hit wonder. We had a level 17 nuker along, who was doing a great job I must add.

Anyways we finished the mission and the leader kicked the afker. Who immediately reinvited himself. At this point I decided to tell everyone in all chat that he afked on us for the whole mission and that they may not want to have him along in their groups. He Pmed me to tell me that his grandmother had had a heart attack and that I was an a**hole. WTF!

Yeah, that happens to me quite a lot with that mission. Another one is Gyala Hatchery... You can do it the "intended" way, by taking the turtles with you, which is near impossible, or the "back way" where you clear out all the Kurzicks first. Anyways, the number of times myself, or the group leader has said "we don't talk to the turtles, everyone agree please", and everyone agrees, someone goes off the activate them. You have to wonder to yourself....do these people even know what the chat screen is?

I've never managed to get masters by killing all but the bosses first on Nahpui Quarter. I guess it's possible....best way I've found with those sort of missions is to get a team of heavy damage dealers, and a couple of good monks and just steamroller my way through it.
